What to expect when you visit New Horizon Church
Thank you for your interest in New Horizon Church.
We know that visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating (especially if you are new to the Saratoga Springs area) and you probably have many questions about a new church…..
Do they welcome children?
What type of worship service do they have?
What is the order of their service?
What do they believe?
What is expected of me?
How am I to dress?
And there may be other questions you may have....
Please come as you are! We do not have a ‘dress code’ at New Horizon. If you feel comfortable in blue jeans, khakis, coat & tie, or even a 3pc suit, then that is fine with us. We care about you and not what you are wearing.
Welcome:
When you arrive at New Horizon Church you will be greeted by our ushers. If you have children small children (birth – 5) we do have a nursery for them if you like. We will hand you a welcome packet with information about New Horizon Church. In this welcome packet you will find more information about the church, our ministries and what we believe.
Worship Service:
Our worship service usually starts around 10:30 (9:30 in the summer months) with an opening prayer followed by a time of praise and worship to the Lord with contemporary music and songs. God’s word is then delivered to us in a way that is relevant, practical and applicable to you in your everyday life. Tithes and offerings are usually collected at the end of the service.
We do offer Children’s Church for children age 6 thru 6th grade. The children are dismissed after the song portion of the worship service. Of course, the kids may stay with you throughout the entire service if you prefer.
The only thing we ask from our guests is the GREEN CARD. We would like you to fill out the information on the card so we have a record of your visit. The green card also provides you a means of communication with us. Please let us know what you liked or did not like about the service, etc. Please place it in the offering plate or give it to one of the ushers at the end of service. Thank YOU!
If you have any questions about New Horizon Church, please feel free to contact us! Many of our members are former and active military (Navy & Army) so we know and understand what it is like moving to a new area trying to find a church home.
