Here is a big picture overview of the Awana year. We look forward to having a whole lot of fun this year!
Each night has a theme associated with it. The following pages give a more detailed description of the night and what is required. Some nights nothing, but others will require preparation on your or your clubbers part.

9/21Awana Colors Night
Clubbers earn extra points for wearing all four Awana colors (Red/Yellow/Green &Blue)
9/28 Adopt-A-Club Night
Clubbers are introduced to the Adopt-A-Club program, requirements and competitions to raise funds to support clubbers in Russia and India.
10/5Missionary Night
Learn about a missionary who is going to India.
10/12Apple Night
Apple related stories & games. Parents please sign up to bring a bag of apples.
10/21 Inside Out Night
Clubbers earn extra points by wearing your clothes inside out!
10/28Bible Hero Night
Clubbers are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Bible Hero.
11/2 Shoebox Night
Bring a shoebox for Samaritan Purse’s Operation Christmas Child. Information will be handed out regarding appropriate items for the shoeboxes.
11/9Crazy Socks Night
Mix and match, different colors, and hole covered socks. Prizes for the most unusual pair.
11/16Mr. Potato Night
Clubbers will decorate a potato to be their ‘friend’ for the night. Carve, color, draw, and design a winning friend for club night! (parents, please send a potato with your clubber)
11/23Gobble Gobble Night
Lots of games involved with gobbling up candy! (Parents please sign up to bring M&M’s & Skittles)
12/2 Crazy Hat Night
Clubbers are encouraged to make or bring the “craziest” hat. The clubber in each club who has the “craziest” hat will win a
special prize.
12/9Silent Night -AWANA STORE
This night is a real challenge! Clubbers are asked to remain quiet after the flag ceremony and during handbook time (except for saying verses). The clubbers in each club who stays quiet the entire time will get head of the line privileges at the Awana store.
1/4Flashlight Night
Clubbers bring a flashlight to see the light God created.
1/11Balloon Night
Balloon themed games.
1/18 Halfway Night
The club year is half over! Clubbers should be half way through their books at this point. Games dealing with halves J.
1/25 Noah & the Ark Night
Clubbers are asked to bring their favorite stuffed animal to ‘fill’ the Ark!
2/1Tower of Babel Night
Clubbers compete in building ‘towers’ and lean a vital Bible lesson at the same time.
2/8 Hearts Night
Parents are asked to sign up to bring a bag of candy hearts/hugs/kisses for the clubbers game time.
2/15 Manna Night
What is it? Come and find out!
2/22Joshua & Caleb Buddy Night
Games of 2 with two clubbers
3/1 Backpack Night
Clubbers may bring in their backpacks filled with canned goods to donate to the local shelter!
3/8 Fishers of Men Night
Bring your rod & reel (or make your own) and learn how to fish for men this night!
3/15 Jelly Bean Night
Clubber who guesses the number of jelly beans in the jar gets the jar!
3/22 Lifesaver Night
Everyone brings a pack of life savers to club.
3/29Fruit of the Spirit Night
Clubbers bring a favorite piece of fruit to club.
4/5Jonah and the Whale Night
Dress as Jonah might have, or as one of the crew on the Sea tossed ship and learn about choices and 2nd chances.
4/19 Rain Gear Night
April showers bring May flowers – dress up in your rain gear!
4/26 Drive-In Movie Night
Each clubber is encouraged to “make a car” out of a large box and “drive” it to the Awana movie theater.
5/3 International Night
Sample food & culture from around the world. Parents are asked to sign up to make a display or prepare food from a country (list to be provided in February).
5/17God & Country Night
We will be writing thank you cards/letters to send to a service man or woman serving our country or to the local police/fire dept.
5/31Goodbye Night - AWANA STORE
Last regular club night.
6/7Awards Ceremony & Pot luck dinner
Enjoy a pot-luck meal and see the rewards your clubber has earned this year.
