Who We Are
New Horizon Church is a church that has a vision based on two central passages of Scripture:
The Great Commandment:
Matt 22:37-40 NAS “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
The Great Commission:
Matt 28:18-20 NAS And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Vision Statement:
We envision New Horizon Church to be a family of transformed individuals who have a genuine and loving relationship with God and one another. We envision a healthy and reproducing body actively introducing Christ to people in our community, our country, and our world.
New Horizon Church will stress:
Relationship not Religion: We want people to understand that they must have a personal relationship with God.
A Genuine Love for God: We want people to sense an authentic expression of love for an all-powerful God when they see us worship (Psalm 96:1-13) and when they hear us pray (John 15:5).
A Genuine Love for People: We want New Horizon to be a place where people show love for each other and the community by serving (Matt 10:42)
A Growing Community: We want New Horizon to be a reproducing, healthy body of believers growing through discipleship, fellowship, and evangelism.
Changed Lives: We want New Horizon to be a church filled with radically transformed lives because of Jesus Christ.

New Horizon Church is an autonomous Southern Baptist Church. We voluntarily choose to cooperate with Hudson Baptist Association, the Baptist Convention of New York, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
