Real Hope

Real Hope

In a world that may seem hopeless, there is REAL HOPE, and that hope is in Jesus Christ.  People can leave you hopeless, corporations can leave you hopeless, religion can leave you hopeless. 

Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ who said he will never leave you or forsake you, He will NOT leave you hopeless!

Jesus offers this hope as a free gift, a free gift of eternal life.

• For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  -- John 3:16

This gift is freely given to all,  but must be received by each person.

• But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name: --John 1:12

So how do I receive this REAL HOPE in Jesus Christ?

#1 Realize that you cannot earn or work your way into heaven.

• For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.  -- Ephesians 2:8-9

#2 Realize that you (and everyone else in this world) is a sinner

• For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; -- Romans 3:23

• For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. -- Romans 6:23

#3 Realize that everyone must repent (turn away from) their sins

• But except you repent, you shall all likewise perish. -- Luke 13:3

#4 You must confess…

• That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.  For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. --Romans 10:9-10

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, is there any reason why you would not want to enter into that relationship now?

If not, consider praying a simple prayer

Dear God,

I know that Jesus is your Son, and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead.  I know I have sinned and need forgiveness.  I am willing to turn from my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord.  Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name. Amen
